Service Initiatives

Medford Works!

In March 2011, The Woman’s Club of Medford, in partnership with the VFW of Medford, sponsored The Home and Life EXPO as a community service activity.  This event that showcased Medford businesses and resources, bringing them together with community residents, was a resounding success!  Shortly after the event, Woman’s Club leadership met with Historic Medford Village Association, Medford Education Foundation, and local small business and real estate representatives to discuss the possibilities for a larger event to highlight the need to support Medford and its Main Street business community to become even more robust.  From this early meeting, Medford Works! was born.  Soon, these first partners were joined by Medford Township and its Economic Development Commission, Medford Arts Center, and Medford Business Association.  Together, this group has worked tirelessly and with good humor, in a non-political venue, to bring the community together to host Medford Works!
